The Long Range Rimfire Club
We were Established in 2016 by Richard Kenchington who recognised the potential of the 22 Rimfire Cartridge. We shoot competitively at distances between 100 and 500 yards and hold regular practices and competitions. We are a Home Office Approved Club affiliated with the NRA.
Our standards have been extracted from the UK full bore version of the rule book and we shoot in 4 disciplines:
- F Class – (FCSB): Any type of sights may be fitted. The fore-end of the rifle may be placed on a rest or bipod and the butt may be rested on a sandbag
- Match Rifle – (MRSB): Iron, magnifying or telescopic sights may be fitted. The forward hand may be rested, but the rifle itself may not touch the rest and the butt may not be rested or touch the ground
- Target Rifle – (TRSB): Iron sights only, and the forward hand may not be rested
- Service Rifle – (SRSB): Military training rifles such as the Enfield No. 2, 7, 8 or 9, foreign equivalents or Morris tube conversions, fitted with iron sights of any type including “SR(b)” style aperture sights. The forward hand may not be rested, as for TRSB.
Our motto “plumbulla longe it” is ‘dog Latin’ for “a little lead goes a long way”
